Lubhavni Gupta
My name is Lubhavni Gupta, and I’m thirteen, a student in Dhirubhai Ambani International School. My journey towards completing this book has not been easy, or short – in fact I’ve taken around three years to complete this novel.
It started when I was around ten, in the pandemic. It was a lonely time of isolation, when I couldn’t meet any of my friends. I felt terribly lonely, and that was the spark of a new idea. I’d always loved reading and I thought that this was the perfect time to write something of my own.
I started building a fantastical world of far-fetched creations, building characters and forming plot sequences.
Of course, it’s not like it’s been a piece of cake after that. My ideas started becoming more and more complex as I grew older, and the foundations I had laid in my early stages were weak. Post frequent writer’s blocks, I completed my first draft, which was editedthoroughly later on.
This book would not have become a reality without the constant support of my parents, who helped me view my writing from a reader’s perspective, encouraged me to keep going, and offered valuable insights, ideas and suggestions into the process.
Children are often underestimated, and I hope this book can be seen as what we can achieve if we put our minds to it. After all, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
