Somdev Chattopadhyay

Poet Somdev Chattopadhyay was born in Katihar district town of Bihar. His father was employed in Katihar division of NF Railway. He grew up in a cultured and reputed Bengali family. Influenced by his parents, he had grown fond of Bengali literature. His poems published in student life magazines became instantly popular. Many of his poems have been published in various Bengali literary magazines, Little magazines and collections. Eminent Bengali news paper, the 'Dainik Statesman' has published his short story and article. The 'Dainik Apanjan' has published a few travelogues also. Educational qualifications: MBA (Finance), MBA (Marketing), CAIIB and PG Diploma in Banking. Special achievement : 2nd place for 'Financial Awarness' Paper in All India Research Paper Competition organized by IIBF, Mumbai (2009). Prestigious journal, the 'Bank Quest' has published his essay. Somdev holds a senior position in a development oriented Central Co-operative Bank. Recognition in Bengali literature : Shilpa Manon Sahitya Padak Sammanana (2011) and Saikat Sahitya Sammanana (2016).
