Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalExplore the lesser-known dimensions of Mahatma Gandhi's life as the book delves into the untold story of his spiritual mentor, Shrimad Rajchandra. On the very day Mohandas Gandhi sailed back to India after studying law in England, on July 6, 1891, his best friend Dr. Pranjivan Mehta introduced him to a mystical person. Destiny orchestrated a meeting between the 22-year-old Gandhi and the 24-year-old spiritual luminary, Shrimad Rajchandra, in Bombay.
Even though Gandhi was well-versed in English manners and armed with a legal education, he found himself engulfed in a storm of unresolved spiritual and existential questions. This encounter initiated a profound decade-long spiritual discourse between them. Gandhi's spiritual journey flourished during their direct association and continued through letters, even after Gandhi moved to South Africa. This period marked the foundation of Gandhi's transformation into a Mahatma.
In this anthology, Sugyan Modi has meticulously compiled the gems from The Complete Works of Mahatma Gandhi and Shrimad Rajchandra Vachanamrut. Through Gandhi's authentic memoirs, expressed in his letters, speeches and other writings, he unravels the profound relationship between the mentor and the seeker.
The Hindi rendition of this book garnered significant acclaim from esteemed gurus such as Pujya Shri Rakeshbhai ji of SRM Dharampur (Gujarat), Sri Guru (Ben Prabhu) of SRM Delhi, Shri Fulchand Shastri of ASK Umrala and Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram, Agas.
