"As an Astrophysics and Astronomy guy from IIT Indore, I must say this is a mind blowing book. Covers a diverse area in astronomy and astrophysics, a must read book. Has both Science and Mythology, good research and intriguing topics, like blackholes, pyramids, quantum(psi), relativity and lot more. It has Shiva like I had never imagined before."
- Ashutosh Das
You should read it if you are a 'believer'. If you are a 'non-believer' then you must read it.
'The Secrets of Shiva' brings together the science and symbolism behind the concept of a formless God, Lord Shiva. The novel approach of not really delving into eulogizing Gods, rather investigating them is refreshing. The book takes you on a fascinating journey from understanding consciousness, to analyzing the effects of psychedelics, to exploring whether we are in a simulation, to finding the meaning of life. The author takes a scientific approach in that he uses biology, archeology, cosmology, geology, topology, anesthesiology, radiology, and quantum physics to understand the concept of Indian Gods. The book also touches upon the concepts of prophets and Gods from other religions in ways that you probably never imagined. It explores the trail of breadcrumbs that Gods might have laid for us to explore. There is something in it for everybody.
Gaurav Pattnaik
Gaurav is a Chemical Engineer from NIT Rourkela with an MBA from XIMB. He has a diverse professional background spanning production, quality, operations, consulting, education, and, more recently, writing. The founder of Jag Educate, a career consulting and TestPrep company, Gaurav has successfully guided many 'underdogs' to prestigious global universities.
His multifaceted experiences encompassing various fields provided a rich foundation for ‘Finding Shiva,’ which has garnered widespread acclaim from both young and seasoned readers. The decision to delve into the intersection of science and mythology was sparked by the perennial question about life's purpose, a query frequently posed to him by his students. Their curiosity became the catalyst for his writing, prompting him to craft a work that not only invites readers to explore the marvels of life and the universe but also encourages critical thinking.
In his own words, "Having researched aspects of Hindu mythologies, delved into ancient Egyptian culture during a visit to the Pyramids, collaborated with budding astronomers and astrophysicists, I aimed to uncover connections and present my findings in a scientifically coherent manner. We may still be far away from the answers, but if we have started asking the right questions then we are on the right path."
