Ramu Upadhaya
Ramu Upadhaya (aka Upadhyay R) was born in 1965 to a Nepali speaking parent from the former district of North Cachar Hills (now Dima Hasao), Assam. His late father is superannuated from a Northeast Frontier Railway service and mother (now octogenarian), a homemaker, at the Nepalis’ hamlet, Bhanjang (also known as Bhunjung) Basti, via Mahadev Tilla : Haflong, Assam. He is a graduate of Gauhati University, India. Before the presentation of his first book, A Landless Alien: Where Heart Lay, he tried his hand at journalism, for he had undergone professional courses in Public Relations and Journalism.
