Priyanka Mathur
Born in New Delhi, Priyanka was raised in Nigeria. She began writing at the age of six, after discovering a liking for creative writing. Her imagination, coupled with a deep passion for art, soon grabbed the attention of those around her, who encouraged her to pursue her passion.
As a child growing up in a different culture, Priyanka was exposed to unique worlds. However, her story doesn’t end there. In fact, it spreads across many cities and countries. Being on the move opened Priyanka’s eyes to new and enriching experiencing. And it is these experiences that have woven themselves into the fabric of her stories.
Priyanka eventually pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Visual Communications. On completing her Diploma, she then began a long career in the print media. However, eager to try something new, Priyanka eventually took a sabbatical and went back to school. She graduated with an MBA in Marketing and kickstarted a brand new career in Marketing Communications.
However, she eventually quit to join her family business. Today, she divides her time between her role in the business and writing and illustrating books for children and young adults. Books written by Priyanka are the ongoing The Adventures of Gul series: A Parrot and a Girl, The Case of the Missing Pickles, and As Darkness Falls: Stories to Keep You Up at Night.
