Dr. Gupta has been the only research guide in both Chemistry and Education. Dr. Gupta completed EPPAM (Educational Project Planning and Management) course from University of Manchester. It was a great honour for Dr. Gupta to participate in SAARC countries conference in Dhaka in 2001 for poverty alleviation and acting as a member of World Bank Team in 1999. Dr. Gupta has been Co- author of Chemistry Textbooks of M.P. Textbook Corporation and NCERT and published more than 150 research papers / articles in various areas of education.

The book has many interesting innovations in education that are discussed including a chapter on the infamous Bhopal Gas tragedy of 1984. Later, the young teacher got an invitation from Manchester University for joining the course on EPPAM, thus initiating exposure to culture and functioning of a developed country.
