Dr. Avanish Rajan is a renowned consulting Medical Physician in Mumbai, India practising since 1987. A graduate of Grand Medical College & Sir J.J Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, he is also Chairman Emeritus of the Family Physician Teaching Committee.
His passion for life and photography led him into the realm of wildlife photography. He has been an avid wildlife photographer for 25 years and has received 300 gold medals for wildlife photography in 35 countries and 3000 awards in national and international photography salons.
Dr. Rajan, President Emeritus of the Photographic Society of India has exhibited his photographs at the Jehangir Art Gallery, NCPA, PSI and various other galleries around India. His photographs have also been published in many newspapers and magazines including the reputed National Geographic.
He has spent over two decades venturing deep into the African forests and has developed a very different perspective on wildlife that he portrays through his beautiful photographs. Being keen to share his profound love of photography and wildlife, Dr. Rajan teaches wildlife photography to budding photographers. As a wildlife safari specialist, he enthusiastically guides visitors through the African jungles.
With a vision of sharing his passion & spreading the love for wildlife, Dr Rajan has, through this first book, embarked on a journey of writing.
